Her practice spans a wide range of business, intellectual property, and data privacy matters, with a focus on helping clients advance their commercial goals while maintaining compliance with evolving state, federal, and international regulatory frameworks.
A seasoned practitioner in intellectual property law, Kamilah has extensive experience prosecuting and managing complex trademark and copyright portfolios – both domestic and international. She counsels clients on branding strategy, enforcement, domain name disputes, and proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). In addition to her portfolio management work, Kamilah regularly handles contentious enforcement matters, including cease-and-desist campaigns, online infringement takedowns, and dispute resolution. She has successfully negotiated favorable settlements and recovered significant funds for clients in a variety of IP and business-related disputes.
Kamilah also advises on a broad range of transactional matters, including the drafting and negotiation of service, licensing, and commercial agreements critical to her clients’ operations and growth. In the data privacy sphere, she provides practical, business-aligned guidance on regulatory compliance, with deep experience advising on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Her work in this area enables both U.S. and international companies to navigate complex obligations around data collection, use, and consumer rights with confidence. Previously, Kamilah was an associate at Pryor Cashman LLP for over five years and a member of the firm’s diversity committee.
Kamilah’s practice is marked by her collaborative approach, technical acumen, and strong advocacy – qualities that have earned her the trust of long-standing clients and successful outcomes in a wide range of legal engagements.
Outside of the legal arena, Kamilah enjoys gardening, interior design, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
