An infringer in Turkey had filed copycat trademarks of numerous well-known technology companies, including one of our clients. While this kind of trademark squatting is not uncommon, this infringer went one step further and operated a website selling imitation products with our client’s mark. After demonstrating the clear bad faith of the other side, we were able to successfully cancel the mark and also remove the infringing website and sales presence, preventing further infringement and clearing a path for our client to successfully register their mark that had been blocked in the country for years.
