Our client, a luxury skincare brand, discovered that a cybersquatter had registered a domain identical to their mark with an Australian ccTLD. After the owner ignored our cease-and-desist letter, we filed an auDRP complaint. The registrant argued they registered the domain in good faith, unaware of the trademark, and without intent to profit from it. However, WIPO’s Administrative Panel sided with our client, ruling that the domain exploited their trademark’s value and ordered its transfer to our client.
